I've never really been one for resolutions, it just seems kind of stupid. Today, for no particular reason I'm going to swear to be a totally different person than I have been my entire life, I'm going to be like this now- insert unrealistic goals- stop swearing, (fuck that), go to the gym, (have a kit-kat) etc. I on the other hand started a blog before the new year so this doesn't really count. I did on the other hand find myself wishing this morning to see poop, yup I wished to see poop, I'm pretty sure in my line of work and with my life that one will happen for me.
Let's see how this new year started. I was asleep on the couch when someone started banging on the door and the dogs started barking. Aaron and I both staggered off the couch to look out the windows and calm down the dogs, both of us cursing whoever the hell would make so much noise... yeah you see where this is going, it was midnight, on new years, it was fireworks. We realized it pretty quickly, quick kiss, back to sleep, Aaron on the couch, me up in bed. So, we got to start 2011 as crochety old people complaining about the noise waking us up- our life is so exciting.
Yesterday was a bit of a bust, we tried to go sledding, and ended up driving through the mountains for a while and going out for an early dinner in Boulder. Which was fun, but not exactly what we had planned. Then after dinner we discovered Maggie's diarrhea, which seems to pretty much have run it's course by this morning, but it has me wishing for poop, normal kid poop. So, that's my life now, and my wish for all my friends and family in 2011 is for normal poop
